Helloo!!
I'm just dropping by
Been practicing portraits. You can see my progress here (earliest [1st image] to latest [last image])

Some of the early sketches are from other artists' work and then I slowly transitioned to still life images

Thank you for reading!!!

These portraits are mwa! I'm loving the hair and the confidence of line work! Looking very good, keep it up.

Yo these are looking really cool. You definitely have a personal style developed. When you practice these last portraits that you were doing, what were you focusing on improving?

Cheers

hi @snakker, thanks
proportion and plane of the face, these two are the most involved when I'm practicing these portraits

Posting after a month
and now, I'm really studying how to color things.
Still need more improvement but I know I can do it, i think. LOL
Anyway, these are just quick sketches.
What do you think? How can I improve more?
Also, I'm doing more of stylized version than realism

Edit 2: I find coloring fruits quite boring. I need to find something that I like to draw more but simple and not tedious to study

those look really good!!
for the apple i think you need more gradients horizontally, it kind of looks nicely shaded at the top and bottom but kind of stands out in the middle too much... might need to do a litttle bit more blending.

the avocado looks good tho i think the bottom seedless avocado ended up being too bright

personally what i like to do is add a new layer on the very top, fill it with black and set the blending mode to color or brightness i forgot which - that makes everything grayscale so you can better compare the values

hmm what DO you like to draw?

I usually see u drawing muscly ppl so perhaps you can practice coloring skin or draw the hands holding something and color that?

maybe smol things like stuff u find in cafes.. lights, cups, delicious coffee/tea?
