So here's another character I had in mind in Project: Ennoia, her name's still undecided, but she's entitled the Queen of Blight.
At the very beginning of the process, I don't really have a very concrete idea of what would she actually look like other than the fact that she had light hair, pale skin, and someone who can "manipulate" mana at will to wield any weapon of choice.
While working on the body, I thought it would be cool if her dress is also made out of mana meaning, it's a part of her body, so I ended up using pretty much the same tone and hue of her dress to her skin. This was good and all until I realize how I dislike the contrast of her overall design. Everything about her is just bright., too bright. I tried adding some accessories w/ much darker tones to bring focus on important areas such as her face, but it kind of ruined the feel of everything about her design being made by her.
This problem left me no choice but to try to experiment a bit and question why I decided to do the thing I do lmao.
Here's the part where I decided to give her dress much darker and deeper value in contrast to her skin. I'd say contrast-wise, it's aight, but the overall feel about this design is just.. meh. The part of the design that made her "special," in which her dress is a part of her is gone, making it look too generic for me.
*Note to self. Avoid using the symmetry tool. I know it's fun and convenient, but... just dont.
