Hello everyone I have another face for today!
Thank you Lockenheim and Lukiesartventure for the feedback it really helps.

This time I tried shading the face for the first time. The shading was easier than I thought in the beggining. I used Marcs drawing of a simplified face, the one that is all blocky and each part has a different shading. Also I took a picture of my self with similar lighting and tried to use that as a reference.
Generally I am happy with the result but to me something seems out of place but I cant figure out what. Maybe the head is too small compared to the features of the face or maybe there are a lot of small mistakes that makes it seem weird.
I think I will continue to make these until I can do it completely from memory.

Nice work! If you want more info on shading the face its all about the planes and you did a nice job here. When I was at this stage Marc told me to focus mostly on doing many constructions, and I would recommend the same thing as I think the shading gets way easier as your construction gets better. But like you I was also super interested in shading the face correctly. Here are some resources you may find helpful.

Hello everyone! I did some more faces. This time I was more focused on speed instead of detail. Also I didnt look at the video lessons because I wanted to see what I remember.

I wanted to do one head every day but I was very busy this week so I did one every two days.
I am wondering if you see any repeating mistakes across all of them.

Nice work pretzel! The main thing that I see is the perspective on the on the 3/4 angles. I did a draw over, you ideally want these lines to be parallel like they are on your more front facing face.

The other issue that sticks out to me is the top of the nose does not seem to line up on the same center line as the philtrum making the nose look at an angle on two on the left. Its most noticible on the middle head and slightly noticible on the left head.

Overall the structure of these is really good and you are definitely on the right track. Its amazing how just a few small changes can make a big difference on a face so keep up the good work!

Hello everyone again! In my latest exercise I used the perspective lines to help line everything up and this is the result.

The lines really helped me especially with the eyes where I always struggle. I drew the lines first and drew the eyes on top of them. I did the same with the mouth and the nose. I am actually really happy with the result. For the first time it actually looks like a face!

Good stuff! Before you draw your next face, draw the centreline onto two reference photos of a face and see how the form wraps. I think it will help you develop your face drawings

Hello everyone, another face today but first I did what suggested above by @Lukiesartventure.

So to tell you the truth I didnt understand much from it other than that the purple lines are not completly parallel but they converge somewhat. I think I can ignore it though because it seems barely noticeable. Other that that it seems that the the blue centerline passes through the philtrum. I new that in my previous faces the mouth and the philtrum was kinda extruded and it seemed wrong. So in todays face I tried to fix that.

I noticed when drawing this face that the angle of the purple line of the eyes is parrarel with the eyebrow line which makes it way easier placing the eyes.

Hello everyone! this week I moved on to term 3 since I got a bit tired of drawing faces for a month. I started with the anatomy lecture and this is my first exercise.

Learning the muscles is not as hard as I thought although I still need a bit more practice.

Hello Everyone! Sorry for not posting last week I was really busy.
I may be late with my post but I have many things to show today.
First I did the previous exersice again and now I think I remember every muscle in the torso and how to draw them.

So I moved onto the next exercise for the anatomy.

This was a very fun exercise. I didnt expect to enjoy anatomy so much.
I also tried for this to make more confident lines because I have been scribling until now and it makes the lines look bad.

Hey, I didn’t think to use the red color on the muscles. Thanks for giving me that idea. I think it is interesting how you chose to include the lats from this front angle. I think they are sometimes visible and sometimes not. Maybe that is something to keep in mind. (How do they intersect with the rib muscles?) I also like how you kept some muscles out on the right. Nice!

If you look at the anatomy 2 lesson on Term 3 you will see that I just did what Marc taught. About how the lats and how they intersect the front muscles is a good thing to think about. I will have to take a look at the lesson again because Marc shows the body at an angle. These exercises are extremely helpful. Thank you for the feedback 😊

Hello everyone, a bit late again and this time I dont have anything finished but I wanted to show at what stage I am at.
I started with the clothing lesson and this is the first exercise.

I started with this but I had a really hard time with the folds so I think it was a bit too difficult for me and I gave up with a promise of returning to it after I have a bit more experience.
Then I tried this one since the folds where a lot simpler.

This one is not done as well but indeed the folds are a lot easier.
The most difficult part for me are the details since I dont have much experience with drawing them but I will try my best and see what I can do.
Also I discovered that I still need more practice on drawing figures, but this exercise is nice because it combines a lot of elements from previous exercises.

Hello everyone, I finished the clothing exercise from the previous week and this is the result.

This was extremely fun but I cant say I am satisfied with the result because it looks a bit messy.
If you guys have any feedback on how to make it look better please tell me.
I will be on holiday next week so I will not draw much but I will continue with the exercises right after I get back.

Hello Everyone, as I mentioned before I took a small break last month but I am back with more exercises. This is my progress for this week.

I paid a bit more attention on the form this time. I also did the face and I am glad I did because I noticed I had forgot some things and I had to go back to the lessons to refresh my memory.
Not too happy with the face I worked for a long time on it but I couldnt make it look good, especially the lips. I might still work on it.
For next week I want to focus on the folds for the clothes since this is a clothing exercise after all. I also want to try to draw the hair so it will be a more complete drawing.

Hello Everyone, I continiued my work from last week.

I feel that the more detail I add the worse it looks, so I am debating of simplifying it and only trying to draw the bigger folds. I thing the right leg looks better because it has less detail.
I also added hair and the hands and fixed the face up a bit so it looks a bit more complete.
