Shading is definately not my strong point so I am starting to work on it

Nice studies, always love the cleanliness. Those gems came out really nice! The noses look great too, just watch out not to place the not to place the alae below the philtrum

I think the eye and brow straight line is more curvier than you given it but man, those line looks clean! Do you do cartooning or you just continue line practice?

I'll try to flip the canvas more and check my measurements, see if i can improve my accuracy. I've not done many portraits so its going to take time to get it right.

I do enjoy some cartooning and trying to emulate anime art, its the direction that i aimed to take my art long term. Do however realise that it may be in my best interests to try different styles so i can grow as an artist. May discover what i am truely good at. @Gordon003

ah that anime art goal explain your line style. Do you do the line art as the final pass once you get your construction done?

In the practice pieces i tend to just undo until i am happy with the lines but if i am trying to draw a character i'll take time with a final pass.
My linework was terrible when i first started learning to draw but while i didn't finish drawabox i'd say it helped immensely because I kept doing the exercises in lesson 1 and 2.

Not confident in painting but I've decided to give it a try to steadily improve.

Nice work on those heads 😃
Do note on the young guy that the brows being rounded leads to a more feminized face and making them straight and flat leads to a more masculine look
