Nice studies, liking those beans, those booty gestures and I find those last constructed figures to be excellent. I really like how tou use confident curves in your figures and the gesture really reads through

On a technical sidenote, how do you set yourself up when doing these? (Like physically) do you si in front of a tablet with monitor, do you give it a slight slope, drawing big with entire screen or do you draw small etc? I’m curious

Thank you, I am still not entirely happy with it so trying to get a better grasp of form by being
consistent. Using the bean to get a better grasp of the torso and the pelvis relationship.

I am using a screen tablet (24 inches) that I have at a slight angle to make it easier to do smooth lines. Prefer to draw large with the entire screen so I can be a bit more loose and try to draw from the elbow and shoulder. I then scale the drawings back down

I see, our setups are pretty much identical except for the size (I think mine is smaller). I always get curious because one of my goals is improving the quality of my lines, but it's definitely a process and any tips and ideas are always greatly appreciated. The one thing I definitely haven't even tried getting used to yet is holding a pencil/stylus etc as classic draughtsmen hold charcoal, it feels way too unnatural to me XD

I should definitely try scaling down my drawings, I tend to just iterate on new layers as new drawings and then upload a bunch of images.

I think line quality is something that improves over time the more you draw. I'd say that the first couple of drawabox lessons (1 and 2) did help my line confidence but I did find them boring after a while.

Think a lot of drawing is experimenting and trying new methods to see what works for you. Setting goals is definitely a good way to go, I am trying to do a minimum of 3 months per term so I make sure I am absorbing as much as the material as I can.

Agreed, I’m personally going for four months plus one book per term, so I have some time at the end to review everything and sort of test myself at the end - simulating my university years, except I don’t have half the time I did back then to just fully immerse in what I study

Currently finished art fundamentals from 3d total, highly recommended if you like reading. It’s mostly theory about what the fundamentals are and how artists employ them (not a practical resource but great for knowledge and better understanding/appreciation)

You should progress fast if you put in that effort. I am trying to get the balance right where I put in enough work without burning out.

I've not read that book but I do have a few books laying around that I really need to get back to studying at some point. Michael Hampton's Figure Drawing: Design and Invention is one I'd highly recommend.

Awesome as usual, the only thing I would recommend on that last one is to vary the lines on both sides of the outline of the arm (and any other organic shape), even if not 100% accurate, sometimes exaggerating the asymmetry makes for more dynamic looking figures
