I'd say it's an improvement! the angle and perspective certainly makes it look more alive and dynamic. There is also a clear focus con keeping proportions in place.
It's a rough angle though, and though some parts feel like they could be adjusted, I can't quite put my finger on it. For example, her bottom feels like it's a bit larger than it should, or that it should ofuscate more of the body due to the angle. Like, you can kind of see her crotch and low part of the thighs, but ALSO the abs. I think I would expect it to be something kinda like this:

Then again to be honest, in the previous piece the legs didn't even come to mind until @snakker mentioned it and then I couldn't unsee it.
At my level, I'd just grab a few references and use those as bases, or one of the free 3D models to refine the angle (if you are using CSP)
Again though, this looks much better and in general looks great!
