I forgot to upload this Monday but here is this Wednesdays. Todays didn't come out like I wanted and I couldn't really get much done even with an extra 30 seconds. But ill try and do better tomorrow. Have a good week everyone.

I had the same problem when I first started, I couldnt get anything down in 30 secs or 1 minute. Marc told me to go up to 2 and it helped a lot. If you arn't getting anything out of the exercise definitely increase the time. Keep it up!

here is this mondays gesture practice. i upped the time to 1 min and 30 seconds. still have a lot of work to do and will likely spend a lot of time on this portion of studies.

heres this mondays. had a lot of trouble focusing and making progress today. especially with the pose i have "5 min" written on. Was determined to get the pose looking recognizable so i spent more time on it. Have a good week.

didn't post yesterday but I went back to 30 seconds to see how id perform and i think i did pretty alright. I rewatched the section of the video that was relevant and adjusted what i focused on according. hope everyone had a good Halloween and has a good week

I did move on to the next lesson about perspective but instead of posting the one point street views with event horizons and vanishing points. I decided to attempt to draw Rukia from "Bleach". Tite Kubo has an art style I really really like so I draw some characters from this manga a bit. For my level right now I believe it turned out well enough. I did use the reference from 2 different manga pages and tried to piece what I saw together. One panel was closer to her head but I still had room so I went to a full body shot and used what I saw there. I tried not to rely too heavily on the reference but I also wanted to look at the drawing and try to study it although now that I think about it I may have used the reference quite a bit lol. I am going to try to say diligent and try to stay in a positive mindset to improve. And push to become better so I can do more drawings in less time but of higher quality. If anyone has anything to point out here that could be improved upon, greatly or just a bit please say so! Every bit of critique gives me direction and some motivation. Hope everyone has a good week and a happy thanksgiving.

ive been doing a bit of these 1 and 2 point perspective practices. I think i have a mild understanding of it. Still going to continuously practicing it and give it appropriate time to try to get it down as best as i possibly can. If there is anything that jumps out as needing a fix or some more focus please point out! have a good week everyone.

Hello there, I’m a little late tk the sketchbook but welcome! Nice to see al the practice, those cylinders and cubes and measured copies are super useful
I think you’re doing great, if there is one that that stands out to me at this point it would be the lines themselves. I would recommend to experiment a little but in the end you want longer, more flowy lines. To achieve that you just practice doing all the other stuff but try to make fewer lines and only draw what you mean- else you kind of caress the canvas and get fuzzy lines. Drawing from the shoulder and using alll the canvas helps
The other thing would be to do plenty of gestures, it definitely helps your linework be more expressive

Nice work with these, I think the biggest thing to point out is the perspective on your cube work. It can be quite tricky to wrap your head around at first, but all of the lines should be pointing to one point (vanishing piont) for one point perspective, and one of two points on two point perspective. On your cube piece the lines are mostly all pointing to different areas, making it seem like they are many different perspectives.

I would recommend drawing your horizing, and drawing your vanishing points on the page. Then if you are having trouble drawing a straight line, use the ruler tool to make sure they are straight. If they are curved it makes it appear like a distorted lense. I have provided examples of how I would set up my scene for 1 point and 2 point perspective. Hopefully this is helpful! Keep it up.
