and here's two of my current bigger projects 
(both still works in progress, but I'm working on the 'warm elf' more right now.
I have a lot of school work so I've been working on this one on and off for about 3 weeks - I'd guess like 10 to 15 more hours to do to get the rendering tight. No.1 bad habit that I WILL kick is painting before I have a solid drawing - she has noodle hands that I'm planning on fixing tomorrow.
Looking at the process spread out like this, I want to go back to the two smaller light sources as seen in the first version. I'm thinking to also decrease the amount on highlights on the hair. her right horn is now also missing the contrast of the tree trunk (rip blob background) so I need to push those values too. I've also taken some reference photos and am going to redraw both of her hands after neglecting them for so long.
