Greetings friends!

I'm the new guy 'round here, just now started with Term 1, pleased to make your acquaintance.

I've started drawing roughly a year ago, even though I am 31 now and I've never really drawn before. Lockdown caused a lot of boredom, so I figured I needed a new hobby.
Then stick figures happened.
Bought a tablet soon after, as my ambitions grew to get better, yet I was drawing pretty aimlessly.

Here is some of the stuff I drew in the past year:

So now here I am, wanting to progress in a more structured way.

I am quite insecure about sharing my stuff with all its mistakes. I know it's normal especially since I am a beginner and learning art is a marathon but yeah, you know how it is. Hope I will get over it by sharing a bit more as I progress through the terms.

Well then... back to Art School.
Toodles!

Oh gee- now part of my e-mail is my forum display name instead of my username and I can't figure out how to change it. I look like a total fool now :frowning:

Welcome on the forums, Phil!
It's great to see you around  I am really excited to see your progress over time!
And here is another "fool" speaking, I made the same mistake and haven't yet figured out how to change it :smile:
Cheers,
Mau

Edit: I've been browsing the forums a little, apparently the Moderators can change your name for you, if doing it yourself doesnt work, so maybe message @cedricgo, he might be able to do it

Thanks a lot, I've sent a pigeon, let's see if it works out or if I will stay Phil the fool.

What a first day at school, hope the other kids wont notice, wouldn't want to get bullied!

Welcome to the forums! your art now looks great but as you said mistakes are bound to happen. I also started a drawing not too long ago 9-10 months ago almost coming up on a year. can't wait to see how you grow and improve as an artist and don't worry too much about age either.

Hey Phil, lovely to have you here! You've got some great ideas already and can't wait to see what's going to happen once you start applying feedback and working on fundamentals, looking forward to your growth!

Hi @Scribblehamzter and welcome! From the look of what you posted it seems you enjoy dramatic scenes with some mood and atmosphere. I love that stuff, so it will be exciting to see how you progress over time :+1:
