Did 1 more nose before work I think it turn out great! I will definitely draw after work later but it will be mostly doodles (shapes in perspective) and some ears and head proportions to see if I remember how to build them I will not post them here tho unless u want to see them let me know

These are great! I can see great improvement from your first noses, especially with the last one. These feel a lot smoother - great work with these!

The structures on these are looking really solid! I glad you're able to apply what you've learned to other noses. Word of caution, it seems like you aren't going as dark with the values. The nostrils look great on all of these, but the underside of the wings and middle of the nose could be a little darker.

You can see here that the shadow in the middle is so dark that you can barely see the nostril on the left. On the wing on the nostril to the right there's a dark shadow that defines it. Be careful when drawing the shadow here. A lot of people would just draw a dark line underneath, but if you look closer the shadow is sharp against the wing and then softens as it goes away. This is a perfect opportunity to use the blending stump. It seems like you may have done that, but either way the shadow needs to be a lot darker.

Yea my goal is to lvl up asap so I'm taking all the feedback i get seriously and I'm doing my best to balance my free time from work for practice. I'm feeling really motivated every day by just having the idea to post online is really motivating I can not wait to get good enough to draw like the artists I love I'm well aware that it will take time loooong time but thats why I'm doing my best I don't have that much time right now since I'm working 2 jobs but after summer I will come back to school and since I don't rely care for school bcs in my opinion school is useless I will spend much more time practicing

YES I realized it too that the value range in some of my noses are just off but when the light on the noses is this light I have problems with values ;/ usually if there is more shadow in the reference I do better (but that's what art is all about right? it's about taking on the challenge and trying ur best) I will try to improve it I will just use your tutorial some more and yes I definitely used blending stump as I said before I over blended the ball of the nose and there is a black spot on it which is unerasable yikes there was supposed to be highlight there rip I usually use paper for the darker values and blending stump for the lighter ones but I f up this one.

And this was my real first time shading under the nostrils that's why it doesn't look as good I will work on it tho! I don't really know what you mean by the middle of the nose my monkey brain doesn't understand

You're fine One of the reasons I'm on the forum is because I like reading and writing long posts.
Sorry, I guess the middle of the nose = ball of the nose.

You did good so far with this drawing, it just needs an extra 3-5 minutes. It's like you started a race, kept a good pace and then stopped like a meter or a foot from the finish line. You're so close!
You can add light layers of shading until it's close to the ref. If you squint/blur your eyes it's easier to see the band of shadow that connects the two nostrils.
Try to think of the nose as a pyramid. When the light comes from above, the sides, or straight ahead the bottom is always going to be noticeably darker than the rest of the pyramid. Only when the light comes from below will it be light.

Ay its ya boi back at it again xD I fixed the nose and spend some more time on it i tried my very best i dont think i can make it any better I think that nostrils look 1000x better let me know if it works

You're close! But hopefully this better illustrates what I wat trying to say earlier.

The underside of the nose needs to be really dark unless the light is coming from below. You did great with the shadow above the eye, but notice that they close in value. The underside of the nose should be just as dark or darker.

I was trying to use photos with color but I think it will be much easier for me if I just make the photos black and white I will be able to see the values easier

Hi! back from work I think I fixed the nose I was kinda rushing the structure of the nose because my friend was on his way to my place so I didn't had that much time but I dont know how much it took i wrote 1 h but i was just guessing it was probobly something like 30-40 mins it sucks having friends and working i dont have that much time to draw lol also I made the reference black and white it was much easier seeing the values I think it looks ... alright? You dont need to comment on my structure i know its not as good but you can comment on the shading bcs thats what i sepend most my time on

Before you do that, I would draw and shade some pyramids. Draw 4 or five in different places around the page, then make a light source and shade each of them according to the light. Try to distinguish the different sides and think about how the values change when the edge is in a different location.

Kind of like this but with pyramids.

Also, if you have time check out this video on noses, she explains values and planes really well.

Your drawings look decent, but if you grasp the idea of values and how different sides are shaded based on the light source you'll be in another level. You're structure is great but the values need some pushing. Like I keep saying, you're really close.

Hi! just watched the video ngl I'm not a fan of how she talks so I was skipping some boring stuff I already know but I learn a lot from this video so I will try to use it in my next nose. idk if I will be able to draw a nose today but I will definitely draw pyramides

Well today felt dead, didnt rlly had any will or drive to draw today ;/ but i did 3 pyramids i know its probably not what u meant, you were probably talking about the pyramids shown in the vid but I just couldn't bring myself to draw anything harder today. Will try to draw more tomorrow!

HI! since I didn't draw that much yesterday I took a day off today so I will draw quite a bit today. I shaded some diamonds and 1 box as a warmup and now I will move onto the nose in 3/4 and then nose in 3/4 looking up
