Hello <3 I finally took the leap to buy this course, and I’m pretty excited for it :>

I’m primarily do digital art using Clip Studio or Procreate. I want to eventually start working on a webcomic (my goal is the end of this year, but we’ll see!). I’m looking forward to see how my art is going to grow while working through the course!

Anywho, here's my assignment for the adjustments!

I probably should've done the assignment for pen control first, but I decided it would probably be much more beneficial to use those as warm ups before drawing. I surprisingly struggled quite a bit, especially considering the fact that these are all correction modes that I use to finalize my pieces (I can't live without the color balance tool!). It's not perfect... and the last one didn't come out quite nearly as saturated as I would've liked, but it's good enough for me. It was still really fun to toggle off all of the little changes I did and see what it looked like before.

Your level is already so high, like the rendering on those examples is crazy!
Still lagging behind personally, having trouble going through that 2 hour photoshop guide video...

THANK YOU!! I love rendering… it’s my motivation to do finished pieces LOL

But I feel ya! I was struggling to get through it myself. I was half tempted to just skip it… but I managed to push through! You got this!

I finally got around to doing some of the assignments for the figure drawing! I still need to mess around with the photoshop assignments, but with school having started, I haven't really had the time to. That, and I don't have photoshop, and I don't really want to fight with Clip Studio trying to figure out how to do half of the editing stuff that photoshop can do.

This is my first day of properly doing the assignments! I've been sort of doing them before while watching the lesson, but this is the first proper time that I spent dedicating to doing the assignments.

Unfortunately, it seems like I forgot to save my file before closing Clip Studio, so I lost some of the other assignments It's no big deal, but I also really liked my gestures that I did this go around LOL

Here are my cylinders.

I've become obsessed with drawing cubes recently, and I guess cylinders have started to become an obsession as well.

And here are my first set of skeletons...

Also with school starting up again, I decided to take a drawing class with one of my friends. I'm very excited about that. I had color theory in a previous semester with this professor. So far, it has been a lot of fun! I'm very excited for that...

Some more more of the figure study assignments... I only did the first couple and some of the gesture drawings. I just wanted a quick warm up to work on an assignment for class. I'll do the rest later.

These are just quick cylinders that I mindlessly did while on a call with a friend. I didn't use an references for these, so I'm fully aware they're a tad bit wonky LOL

I'm not too happy with my gestures... They were better the last time I did it. I think what happened this time around was that I decided to sketch in Paint Tool Sai instead of Clip Studio. Normally, I like sketching in Sai, but since I had Line of Action on one half of the screen, the program became extremely cramped and I couldn't figure out how to collapse the sides without having to turn every window off... oh well. These are just gestures, after all.

I'm hoping that I'll like the one minute ones more...

More random stuff... I'll probably move onto week 3 soon, I just want to do a bit more of the basic stuff before I do that, especially seeing that I'm just trying to use these as warm ups.

For the cylinders, I tried actually using perspective instead of just free handing it. I never realized how rusty I was at it... Oh well.

I had some basic skeletons, but I wanted to move on from that for the time being. I found tis while trying to find poses to turn into skeletons. I did draw this as a skeleton originally, but the perspective was fun so I did a more serious sketch. This was my attempt at measuring my proportions, I like how this looks, even if its just the basic outline... I'm struggling with the head though :(( I'll probably work on the sketch again tomorrow...

Once you get to Term 2 - Anatomy 1, Marc teaches you how to construct the head properly which should help : )

I haven’t posted here in a while… I’ve been busy with class D: I’ve fallen a little bit behind in terms of this course, but I have been drawing as whatnot for class, so im not too worried:)

I’m in a drawing mode, but I feel a bit unmotivated so I thought it would be the perfect time to work on some of the human figure assignments before I move onto the bigger perspective assignments.

Speaking of perspective, I drew my room for a class assignment:D

Definitely not perfect… but I still think it was a good attempt, and I got some good feedback. It made me excited to do more backgrounds in my future works.
