Heya!
Im chris, and i really like your progress so far!
Got some really cool posts there ^^
I totally get where you're coming from with your style, and I think its really cool, yet I do think some general proportion work or just studies are always a great base. I decided to rework this painting, focusing a bit on facial proportions and maybe pumping up some colors here and there.
As you can see, just little 'spacing-adjustments' can really change a face, and push the message that its actually a side view, like the eyebrow shape, and general eye-nose-temple proportions. I would also recommend maybe drawing/ painting with more staighter lines, as they can really make your piece more organic.
Overall, keep on painting Here is this 'Value mask' I created once, that helped me a few times. I saw that the shading wasnt as intense, so i of course adjusted it, and generally always use it with a grain of salt, so every face doesnt look the same.
so yea, just an insight on how i reworked this piece

@chriswhatelse Thank you for the advice i really appreciate it and also that you like my other work as well means a lot! Yeah I know that in my version looks more pale. I do a lot of studies but I do agree that i don`t work with much more straighter lines sometimes. I do have to say that I was really looking not to be that much realistic I do really love what have you did and I do appreciate a lot! Specially for the colours in the eye-nose-temple area! I will definitely keep that in mind!

There is a story in this one I was so hurt... cus my mom died in brutal car incident in December 2015. A lot of my friends, family and people that I know thought that I will stop drawing after this... but I did not! I hope that I have improved since that moment as an artist and as a person in a good way. But that is not me to say!
