Hi there!
Want to see some video game concept art, illustrations and fanart? :blush:
I'm Shelly (Shellz-art) and I am a professional concept artist, illustrator and sailor from Ireland! I'm currently creating character concept art for video games and creating personal illustrations in my spare time (with the occasional fanart thrown in for fun!)

Hopefully I'll post regularly, but don't worry, I'll not spam everyone. I'll just post the best stuff! Feedback, comments or critiques - everyone is welcome to share their thoughts and I'll be happy to read everything.

A bit about me :
My artwork is inspired by my travelling experiences. I have visited over 200 places in 53 countries, states and small islands. I've battled raging winds, high seas, survived pirated waters and tornadoes, trekked across an entire island and up a volcano, explored around in an army tank and submarine, took several road-trips, traded with the warao-indians and barely made it across the Bermuda Triangle in one piece. Just to name a few things!
Still in my 20s and currently situated in my home country Ireland; I really enjoy movies, cookies, video games and playing piano / guitar. A stray cat has decided to live with me.

I've worked as a lead illustrator and concept artist for companies based in California, New York, Tokyo, Colorado, Australia and Ireland. I specialize in character concepts however I have also created environments, weapons, vehicles, assets, UI designs and more.

I'm currently working as the lead 2D artist on an RPG project based in San Francisco.

PIRATES
Speedpaint video on Youtube! Here

The notorious captain lies waiting inside the cove, in need of a ship. With the help of her fellow companions; a parrot, a crab and a starfish, together they will lure the unsuspecting pirates into the cove with a chest full of treasure. Then will be the moment for the accomplices to strike, while the captain makes for the empty ship in the dingy.
This is probably one of the biggest personal illustrations I've done so far, taking roughly 30 hours. I hope you enjoy!

I'm happy to finally post this - my first art collab with the amazing Makuzoku! :relaxed: We kept our own styles but managed to compromise a few things here and there to make everything cohesive. On a side note - Dan is not having a very good day.

Hello shellz-art! I must say that, reading your first post, your journey is really impressive XD But it's awesome that you had the chance to experience all of those things.

I really like the pirate illustration you've did. There's some fun storytelling going on in it. I'm looking forward to see more work form you :smile:

SAMURAI CHAMPLOO

This piece won 1st Place in the Game of Thrones Competition held by Cubebrush! (Before they changed sites). The characters were influenced by Margaery/Daenerys and Khal Drogo/Jaime. Hope you like!
