Day 13_ Guarded Holly Witch. "Always do the right thing, even if there's no one watching."
This part is for myself to look back or anyone who's interested in my process. It's quite nice to have at least 3 prompts to help my dead brain. I use each prompt for different elements, for example today's I'm using:
GUARDED (official) for the shape of her armour and how its big and covers the character,
THICK (cubebrush) for her body proportion. Thinking about the persona of the character. Shes a boxer, works out a lot, lower body 'thicker' for a sturdy stance. Always looking for things to exaggerate.
Holly Witch (botanical witches) for the lines and 'decorations'. After establishing the basics down such as the silhouette or a feel of the character, I start adding lines and variety to make it more eye catching while trying to convey the story of the character. I always try to have at least one thing in the finished work for the audience to discover like the shaved hair isn't just shaved but has the leaves and flowers mounted on it. I learnt this from my illustration class back in Uni when the teacher pointed out that its the little details that makes the character more believable and interesting.
Thanks for reading this and I hope you have a wonderful day.
