For the line art there are many different ways to do it, and know that I am no expert. But a few rules is you want thicker darker lines for the sillhoete and also when objects are overlapping others and it looks like you have the right idea. I find working specifically on line art really difficult to improve as its kind of a symptom of getting better at other skills. At least thats how it feels for me. As I understand shading and volumes more it makes more sense where to place emphasis. So I was like you I wanted to study how to make better line art but I think for me at least it just levels up as I get better. Not sure if that is helpful but you did a good job here!

I find clothing super difficult, it is really a deceptivly hard thoing to draw as it requires so many foundational skills. It looks like you are on the right track though for sure! I feel this pain, I have such a hard time with clothes. Keep up the practice!

I finally started term 5 but I started with the character design class first since that is what I care more about. I still plan on practicing anatomy pretty much forever, but now I can focus more on creativity and have more fun.
This is a modern samurai/Ronin character I came up with. Although I think it's still somewhat generic, I definitely had fun making him and feel I have improved my creativity. I'm not done yet because I need to make a color palette and design his sword and pistol, plus I might make some changes to his clothing. I'll post a more clean illustration with him when I finish those.

Here's an update on my character from before. I think I will leave it here and move on to my next character design. I still have a lot to work on, like color theory and rendering, so I'll definitely come back in the future and remake this one, and also design his weapons.

I made a female character this time. I need to think of a backstory but for now she's a robot who uses electricity for her power. I wanted to make her both elegant and fierce so next time I'll change the poses up to reflect that. I really enjoyed this one and I plan on making an illustration with her sometime.

I just finished Gurren Lagaan so I was inspired to make a Rockstar-type character. Also my college classes are starting this week along with my new part time job so I don't know how much I'll be posting in the next few months.

I like the top left ^.^
The bottom left is also great, maybe you could separate the foreground a bit more from the bg. For example a bit less seturated, or a bit more blue :}
