I really like the brush stokes you have in a few of these paintings. like the first one and the road hog one. Its a nice texture/style. I like it. and for a lot of the characters you've drawn they have a more caricature kinda style to them. like that third last one. I'd love to see more people studies and some gesture drawings. I think if you did some of those they would help a lot with anatomy for you. Cause i can see where you're getting at with your anatomy troubles. I think its mostly how the arms are suppose to move in the poses you have they look like they'd struggle to get in to those positions and let a lone it would feel awkward, as well as some of the drawings look as if the arms were kinda dislocated. so you're just extending areas that shouldn't be as far if you're going for more realistic proportions.
I hope I was able to help a little for what you should try to focus on. ^ - ^

Yes, you were really helpful. Just pointing that arms in my drawings are dislocated is so true, I can see it right now but wasn't aware of it before, thanks !

I'm going back to basics. I need to train my anatomy, gestures, so probably I wouldn't post any imaginative pieces for a while. Ok, so for today I did a couple sketches with Quickposes as references.

Hey welcome!
You have very interesting and unique art, it catches my eye. I think my biggest feedback would be to define things more, the shapes and details. Most pieces are very rough and almost lazily finished. Opposed to that, I do appreciate your pretty good use of values.

Thank you for visit enalya and thanks for comment and crit :). I was wondering why my rendering is rough and I think I could have an answer. It's probably due to my lack of knowledge in anatomy and at some point I'm just stuck and I don't know where to go next when rendering a piece. It's probably also correlated to color use, light etc. So, I'm going to do alot of basics now I hope I won't bore you guys with those :).

Anyway, here's the next pack of sketches as for today. Only 11 pieces, cause I didn't have enough of free time

Next pack from today evening. I'm going monothematic, but I hope those studies would help me in future to be more loose and precise I'm going to incorporate hands, feet and portrait studies to my schedule in near future, so stay tuned ^^. And of course pure anatomy, yay !

Nice stuff you have here! I can relate to, I love drawing characters too!!

Yeah, I hope those will help me improve, because I'm really struggling when drawing a character from imagination. I would stick with them for quite some time and see if it would get better :).

Yesterday for me was one of these days that anything you do related to art - you fail. I just couldn't draw accurate, so I've decided that after portrait which I did using photo, I will draw one character sketch from imagination and I'll make a break for the rest of the day. I've had to think about what I want this character to be, so I thought hmm... maybe a man from the jungle with wooden staff or something. I didn't think too much and started drawing and in result I got static pose. I forgot to think about how do I want to pose him, that's not good. So I've decided that today I'll draw some of the sketches more loose and exaggerate the lines (as Proko said in one of his YT videos about gestures, that if you exaggerate the lines in gesture there is a reason behind it - to not let the final sketch turn into static pose), also some of them I keep as I sketch usually and some of the rest I'll mix those two techniques - more precise with a little bit of loose accents here and there.

As for weekend I've decided to take a break from gestures, and just chill out reading Michael Hampton's book. I had an idea to better preserve knowledge from the book with studying sketches by Mr. Hampton, so I did couple of them :).
Probably tomorrow I'm going to do more, and then from Monday back to gestures

Anyway, I need to keep drawing and don't even think about getting lazy

Today again I did sketches after Mr. Hampton, but nothing too fancy this time, just a quick ones with a lot of errors haha Sometimes I'm getting blind on proportions, need to fix that asap

I was pretty busy in the last few days, so I didn't posted as well I didn't draw... meh.
Anyways, I found a little bit of time today so I did few sketches, just five pieces, but I guess it's better than nothing

Hello after a while. I wasn't posting due to commissions and lack of time related to start of new semester on my university, but I'm back with few pieces.

Portraits (commissions)

Portrait for my friend, as a birthday gift

Bigger commission (including four portraits). I will post final piece, steps in GIF and photo of printed piece on canvas using giclee technology (adding those words wasn't my idea)
