Working on that art station challenge. Also going to be making a bunch of timelapse videos and possible a tutorial for my basic approaches to characters.

Hey! I'm trying to get into photoshop. Do you use basic brushes or a custom brush set? I adore your sketching brush so much.
@khromies Yeah I have a bunch of custom brushes that i've picked up from a few sets, but they aren't anything fancy. It's mostly just a square brush with a tiny bet of texture, round brush, and airbrush all with flow and transparency set to pen pressure there are a few other specialty ones but they're just for time saving.

I love the clothes and outfits you create for your characters! What cultures and periods do you reference for them?
A lot of them are actually just me piecing together shapes and fabrics without much in the way of actual reference. most if it is a mix of just looking at other fantasy artists and modern fashion then just futzing about til it looks like something.
Stuff like this is more grounded using real-life medieval references etc.
