Hi guys this is my first time posting here.. I am a student and currently i'm building my portfolio. I need a critique for the piece that i've done. The story is about a fisherman that hunt whale in the sky. Feel free to give me a feedback and as always thank you for the great community.

I believe you can crank up the saturation of the scene. Maybe even try some color balance because the scene feels very de-saturated. Also I think you can add some color to the fisherman in the corner. Because that area is really dark, it's the first place I look at when looking at this image. Other than these things, I think this is a pretty cool piece so far.

wow thank you so much.. i'll try to make the fisherman brighter, and maybe play with the saturation a little bit.

First off, stunning concept! I really like that twist on this classic story, it really makes it distinct! I think that the fisherman maybe looks to calm for whats happening in front of him? Maybe you could paint him reaching for a harpoon, and yelling at his crew, almost like the whale just revealed himself? cool work man, your probably done with this painting by now, but I wanted to share!
