Your daily generated ideas are quite lovely! If you don't mind, could you tell us about the creative story side of things? Do you start with story or do you randomly have this idea of two bears fighting?--Or is it more forced, as in, you decided that was going to be your mission for that day?

Besides having lovely colors and environments, the compositions are quite pleasing as well! for a daily thing, this is quite amazing

@achronic. It depends. Some of the days I've been using a topic from the Spitpaint group on Facebook (which is a group for 30 min speedpaints, although I'm sure you've seen it before), so those ones are somewhat forced. Other times I'll have an idea in my head already.

A couple of them were my attempts to study other painters but putting my own twist on it. And then there have been some days where I couldn't think of anything so I just find a cool photo to study The bears fighting was a photo study. If I do a study though I really try to simplify things and add in interesting colours and lighting.

But I'd say for the most part I see a reference image of a bear and usually some sort of story idea will pop into my head and I'll work from there.

@Paulo yeah I usually try to do an under painting first. Doesn't always work too well for me, but most times it adds that little bit of extra juicy colour
