Hey guys,
I finally had some time to get back to the translucent challenge. I resized the canvas to place the character with regard to the rule of thirds. I also drew the details of the tentacles, added a foreground and came up with a friendly face design.
I'm getting crazy with all these light sources. 
The suckers (XD) or acetabulum on the tentacles glow.
I also added a light source in the background to illuminate his torso more.
Would I be lucky if I met her while diving?
It really looks great! Very calm.

But I love how you used the space with the tentacle in the foreground and the focus on his face. I'm curious on with palette you will use!!

Yeah...I'm curious about the palette, too. XD Will be my "future-me" problem.
OMG. XD That dragon suddenly reminded me of myself being silly again and this guy is like "Oh God...please stop acting like that". 
His back looks so nice!!! Everything does! Can't wait to see more!
Ohh! I like the monster and the composition! Seems like yours will be a golden spiral too! "your friendly neighborhood ocean monster" Can you imagine if this guy was Chiara's character's pet? "Don't worry, he doesn't bite... twice..."
As for the dragon guy, I kinda have this silly backstory in my head: he's a normal, logical, calm and collected guy most of the time, but once a month comes a time... when the dragon gets released! The girls will get my analogy.
OMG YES! He toastally can be Chiara's characters pet! XD He can welcome scuba divers and guide the way to her throne with his lights. 
Oh. "The Dragon" gets relased. XD Man...I'm not sure if I could take it. I mean....that dragon is kinda huge. 
Im in the midst of catching back up on classes, since i started every bit of term 3 and didnt finish any.....but im about half done now. I have also started a reskin design for street fighter over on my thread.....aaaaannnnd I am also participating in a Legend of Zelda design challenge. But I didnt want to forget about the challenge here so i thought i would at the very least state my intentions. I would like to do a picture of Crystal Boy, from the Space Adventure Cobra.

Hey guys, so here's my WIP with the values. Wanted to check with you all if they read ok. Still not sure about the bright/dark intensity on the guy himself (I have a feeling Marc will say "make brighter", but I wanted to make him the emphasis by having the darkest tones. Any recommendations?
My initial thought was actually "make him brighter". 
My eye gets drawn to his dragon 
a bit more right now. I think you lose too much detail on his back and face. And I guess we all wanna see these details.
Maybe you should introduce some more light to your main character and make his crystals glow?

This second one is all way better. I think that before the range of values was too, short haha I don't know how to say it And I love the fabric texture, very appealing

Vika I wanted to see it here with better quality, and it's definitely better hahah his shirt is so, wow one thing that is kinda strange is the back, like the lats/erector spinae/obliques zone, but maybe it's right hahah I don't usually draw a lot of backs You're really nailing it.
Where is it located? it's not so easy to figured it out from the background, I'm curious sorry hahah
But now I noticed that the first thing that I see is the square on the shirt, maybe you could tone down the contrast a bit, no it's too beautiful hahah I don't know his face is not so important right now.

Hard to say. I like the red one on its own but the blue one fits the whole image better to my eyes. Either way would you be able to bring some of that darker color to the top just a little to unify the whole piece?
instead I think that the red is better, as the complentary of blue, let's say light blue hahah Vika will tell us what she has chosen
