Hey guys. I need help deciding. Which colors do you all like better?

Vika I wanted to see it here with better quality, and it's definitely better hahah his shirt is so, wow  one thing that is kinda strange is the back, like the lats/erector spinae/obliques zone, but maybe it's right hahah I don't usually draw a lot of backs :joy: You're really nailing it.

Where is it located? it's not so easy to figured it out from the background, I'm curious sorry hahah

But now I noticed that the first thing that I see is the square on the shirt, maybe you could tone down the contrast a bit, no it's too beautiful hahah I don't know his face is not so important right now.

Now I go to my work or I will not finish it on time hahah Thanks for sharing all the process here

Hard to say. I like the red one on its own but the blue one fits the whole image better to my eyes. Either way would you be able to bring some of that darker color to the top just a little to unify the whole piece?

instead I think that the red is better, as the complentary of blue, let's say light blue hahah Vika will tell us what she has chosen :smirk: :joy:

I chose somewhere in-between. I'll show you guys in a couple of days. Taking a break, so I can look at the art with fresh eyes.
Where are the rest of the submissions? I wanna see more cool art!

Some progress. I tried to make my character standing instead of sitting but I'm still not sure, so I started rendering the background due to the fact that she will be mostly trasparent  Still WIP, thank god that we have more days added to the challenge hahah

There will be more atm perspective (maybe... water perspective? :joy:) and I wanted to make the little guys smaller and maybe more like sea creatures, what do you think? If you have any advice let me know :relaxed:

Oh Chiara (tchee-harrah, for those in the know) !! That's shaping up to be wonderful.

I do hope you go absolutely ham with the water caustic light effects, sea creatures, and underwater light rays coming from the dome structure. Dis gon be gud. Big thumbs up!

This looks awesome. Can't wait to see her.

Looking at everyone's significant progress within this program gets me extremely excited for where my own work will be in a few months and years..

Everyone is making such good progress!!

I ended up suddenly moving internationally so I don't know if I'll make it by the deadline, but I'll definitely be keeping up with this thread to see the end results!

Alright Ladies and gentlemen, I think I'm done (or at least I don't feel like polishing anymore :joy:) Thanks everyone for the feedback. Looking forward to seeing everyone's submissions.

Werehuman

Here's my progress so far. I've been rendering and rendering. XD I'll try to add some color tomorrow.
I added some friends of my sea creature chilling in the background. Wanna hang out, too? XD

Wow guys! Your submissions are so damn awesome! I love your dude and his dragon @WeirdOwl! The colors are well chosen and these crystals look awesome! Like they glow from the inside and the markings on the dragon and the guy's face really connect them. Well done!!!

I love your throne room for your queen, @chiara.arcidiaco. It'll look great when you place your characters in the scene. Maybe you wanna introduce some gold into the picture. Adding golden design elements to her outfit and/or a treasure she is protecting?

@WeirdOwl your final work is stunning, I understand that you can't polish it more, it's amazing hahah

And @IndrawnArt I love how you're rendering it, it's so polished :scream: and the feeling of depth is incredible

I work on it too but still have to render my queen and polish all of course. I like your idea Indra that she could protect something, and yes I wanted to make the sceptre and the crown golden and maybe add something to her dress, tomorrow I have to figure out how to make her look like made of glass (screaming inside :scream: :joy:)

@IndrawnArt your monster is looking great. Really feels like he's pulling you in for a hangout :joy: One little critique if you don't mind. Right now it's not very clear the tentacles are attaching to his back, I think your very first sketch conveyed it better.
Make sure you finish this! I really wanna see everyone's reactions.

@chiara.arcidiaco I love the colors and the environment. My favorite color scheme! Make sure you make this awesome! I need some new phone backgrounds.
P.S. Gold would be a nice way to show focal points, just make sure you desaturate it to make it look like it's still underwater.

Thank you, @WeirdOwl. And yeah! Gimme all your critique!!! Tentacles on the back. Got it! But I'm not so sure how to solve it, yet.
Gonna check my first sketch as you suggested and I'll try to fix it.

Thanks a lot @chiara.arcidiaco. I'm glad you like it. And your updated version looks pretty nice! I know how you feel with that "screaming inside" feeling. XD
Right now your queen would be more translucent in her upper body, since the light comes from above/behind her. Maybe her cape glows from the inside! That way her whole body would be luminated from behind and you get the TRANSLUCENT OVERKILL!!!! Wohoooo! Just an idea.

Do you think that I should change something before sending it to Vika?

I don't know I like it but I don't like it hahah I don't know if you ever feel like this :joy: The fact that she is translucent makes her kinda mimetic and it's strange for the actual focal point  I don't know let me know what you think maybe

Where are the puny humans she's looking at with disappointment? :joy:
Very nice atmospheric piece Chiara, I think your environments have improved like no other! You definitely have the most complex piece out of the entries I've see.

Us. She's adverting her eyes from us.

Hey guys, here is my entry to the challenge. I slapped a gradient map on the image, but shared the greyscale version, too.
It has been the first time working with gradient maps for me. What do you think?

Can you add my late submission? Otherwise I'd just upload it to the stream today on my own.
