Hi everyone I'm excited to to participate in this art school! I've been drawing for a few years but felt I've been lacking in a few concepts so I'm going over a fresh start with this course. New to photoshop so looking to using it.

I'll post one of my recent works then mainly focus on assignment work with some other works i do along the way, looking forward to your criticism and the journey ahead!

January 3rd 2022: Pen control and Image adjustment

I wanted to focus on all the assignments I'm given though I was mainly after improving myu drawing skills I've been fascinated with the editing functions on Photoshop and aim to tackle all subjects given.

Liking the vidoes so far and this assignment was a good way to judge my current level of pen control.

Still not great with circles or pen pressure but now I have a good base to keep practicing with photoshop brushes are interesting gonna need a bit of time to learn how to tweak them.

-Image adjustment-

Image Adjustment was a lot of fun though this took me a while to work on the pictures (40 min) as I reworked many of the adjustments when they were off, I really enjoyed this one and would like any tips to getting a better result for the last image as it really threw me for a loop.

Looking forward to the next assignment!

Nice, I'm not focusing on the photoshop part of the course myself so I don't think I can give a lot of feedback on that part.

On the pen control bit though you're very accurate which is good, but I think trying to be more confident with your lines will benefit you (mainly on the circles) as they look a little wobbly. Just making sure you use your whole arm and try not to go too slowly. ^-^

Combining and Liquefy

Combining images was defintly interesting but very difficult for me to get done, gave me some insight on layers and image tweaking but I found this one to be the most challenging exercise so far.

Liquefy/heal/Stamp:

This exercise was fun learning how to blend and shape images was very entertaining to me though not something I found easy to do, does anyone have a tip for making the source image line up when adjusting it's size? that was the main issue that i faced doing this exercise.

Looking forward to doing the drawing exercises!

I love the Combine image you created. I can see that the colour atmosphere works for the boat, human and the lighthouse (I'm assuming that you added it to the original background).

However, I do feel that boat looks like it's floating; maybe the boat shape is suggesting that.
