I've never participated on this form yet, but it's looking like a great place to be. I'm excited for these weekly contests. It's a great way to keep the artistic fluids going without allowing me to obsess over a painting.

Needed to crop the pic (wanted to add more crops to the left) and no time to add colours.

I wish I had seen this earlier so I could have spent some more time on this and made it less "sketchy", but it was good pratice anyway, so here's my entry

Undefeated kabutomushi (Japanese beetle). Beetle wrestling is popular in Japan and for some reason that was the first thing that came to mind when I read the topic, so I ran with it. No time for a background
I learned a lot about where I can improve my process so it was a productive effort.

No weapon, no armor and no shield, that's how Pectorius likes to fight on the battlefield. During a battle he got bored and got himself captured by the enemy to flirt with their princess. Sadly the princess rejected him. Filled with rage he easily broke out of captivity and proceeded to fight the whole camp by himself. With the power of his pectoral region and his mighty biceps he is truly an Undefeated Champion on the battlefield but has no luck with ladies.
