I decided to check your forum,too I really like your use of color and how clean your drawings look . Do you use lasso tool a lot to achieve sharpness? Anyways awesome and I'll definitely be watching you <3

No! I used a method I got from an artist on you tube which is basically get a "loose" line-art and then select everything around the line art and then reverse select so it just targets everything within the lines! I don't know if this only works in Sai though q w q

Does anyone have any suggestions on a piece i can work on next? I wanna try to do something dynamic but i always come up with meh ideas. (( I am thinking about trying to do a character concept thing for my tiefling warlock/plague doctor though!!))

When I struggle to think of an idea I usually do a quick photo study or just some gesture drawing, maybe that will help you think of something. ^^

Some input on these would be nice, I want to do some fan-art of Yrel from WoW but I want to work on more dynamic posing, which one of these sticks out the most? i'm partial to 3

If your goal is to do something more dynamic the the top 2 thumbnails work best. The top right is my favorite though.

I like the top right as well, but I feel like the bottom part would be hard to work in the plate that Yrel wears? And i think the legs look wonky but I don't know how to fix them and still keep one of them up without it looking.. staged? I guess?

You can draw them as boxes first and sculpt the box into the shape you need. Also another thing I might add if you do go with the top right action is to bring the camera back to make the pose more dynamic. Have her fit in a triangle more. Here's a rough drawing of what I mean.

Just play around with the idea. If you don't like it then you can try something else.

Thank you so much for the critique!! The only thing I would be concerned about is her other hand (( the left one going away from her)) Is meant to be holding a spellbook, and if I pulled the arm more towards her face, I feel like i'd have to ditch the book to still show her face. But I will play around with it tonight!

I love this one! It's gorgeous with just a tiny small touch of eeriness.

Your newest one is also coming along nicely. The face looks really nice already and I love the color scheme you have going on. As for the leg, I think it should be seen more from the front, so you'll need to do some foreshortening. I did a quick overpaint to show you what it could be like. I basically start with circles to indicate where the leg joins the pelvis and the knee. And from there it should be relatively easy to make a proper leg. I hope this helps!

I edited up keeping the way the leg was because I felt like there was a lot of negative space otherwise. (( Though your critique is definitely more anatomically correct. )) I still think it came out alright? Though I often felt like I had no idea what I was doing.

I looove how this is turning out, Pink Mercy is such a cute skin <3 <3 One little something is that the white spots on the boob plates and the knee look a bit too strong, maybe just tone them down a little bit, everything else looks good. I hope you are looking for feedback >.<

I check your blog every few months and every time i am amazed at how fast you're improving.
Your paintings looks so much more confident it's impressive really.
This may sound a bit cheesy but seeing your development throughout the year i feel like im witnessing a great artist in the making! If you've managed to improve so fast i can't help but wonder where you'll be in a few years from now :).

Working on going through kienan laffertys art tutorials/talks and I've been working on this piece. I feel like my style doesn't lend well to concept art (( Which is where I'd love to freelance in.)) so I've been trying to branch out. The colors don't feel right to me/the post is kind of boring but.. any suggestions?
