I didn't get it. Heart is located almost in the middle of the chest, around the same height as breasts are. The wound in the picture is way too high. Plus, I would make the heart rounder, The first thing it reminded me of is a spool of yarn because of the cylinder shape.
I love the expression though! You have a very nice stylization of eyes, the way she looks is great!

Yep, just want to second that the heart doesn't read coming out of the area its at.

The proportions are in general good for the head shoulders and arms, but redrawing the chest so that the heart is coming from the middle would be a good idea, give the chest cavity more volume.

Here is a good example pulled from a google search of the proportions of the heart and the connecting tubes, look a bit more and you will have a very fun image going.

Like the style of the face a lot btw.

I think it's a great pose. Would add more details to make sure it looks like a heart. Make it gross.

no matter how much I polished the heart i kept having this feeling that it didn't look right, and I think the problem is that i should have made her open her chest instead of havint this more ''inward'' posture. it makes the whole thing very cramped up and hard to read I find, most people I ask to pointed out to something that bugged them or didn't understand it was a heart at first. so I tried something else, and I might just use the ''licking own heart'' concept on another piece. I feel it's not as cool conceptually but still cool visually? not sure but I wanna finish it at this point

I think the heart did work out better. Maybe look into photos of real hearts and make several studies?
