Hello everyone, I'm Yan Ling, a freelancer 2D artist form Taichung Taiwan.

I saw the Marc Brunut's channel on Youtube and liked the way he taught, so I started Art school, hoping to review my foundation, learn new things, and make myself a better artist.

I rarely see assignment feedback for visual communication 1 on forums, so I am not sure if I am doing it right,

If there are any better suggestions, please let me know.

Today's practice. It is pen control assignment at Term 1 : Photoshop for Digital Production 1.

Today's practice. Before I started drawing, I did the pen control exercise again. It took me 25 minutes.

Nest is material study. I start another course at ARTCore which is a set of 16 materials tutorial. First one is plaster.

Hey Yan Ling, awesome to see you here! wow these are some great in depth work on visual communication I'm very impressed can't wait to see more from you!

Hello @Ausirias , I am awesome to see you too. Thank you for enjoying my study. I will paint more practice, I really like these.

New practice. Continuing the exercises from the previous lesson, the second one is smooth metal. If there have any suggestions, feedback is welcome.

The plaster material exercises in the previous lesson became my reference for light source. I also found other’s material research to reference, and the painting process was very nice.

I feel the power of plaster

The picture in the upper left corner is the feedback given me by the course teacher. I spent 40 minutes to make the plaster material look better today.

左上角的附圖是由課程講師給我的反饋,我今天花了40分鐘進行石膏材質的修改。

About Art School course, my progress is as slow as tortoise. English isn't my mother tongue, so I only can translation and understanding a few minute content a day. But, the course is valuable. I will not give up.

Art School 的課程,我進行得超級慢,因為英文不是我的母語,我翻譯並理解的速度一天只能聽幾分鐘。但我仍覺得這個課很有價值,我不會放棄的。
