Yazziixx Art School Journey

Hi! So I've never had an art blog before and I hope this can motivate me to draw everyday until I achieve my goal of becoming a professional concept artist working on video games ^.^

Objectives: - Get good at understanding environment values
- Learn basic 3D
- Anatomy studies (Hands, feet, poses)
- Get better at choosing color palettes/ace that cinematic feel
- Get more confident in my lines

2020 has been an incredibly hard year for me with very little art done, so I want this to be my strong comeback. Would love to get to know all the artists around here and grow together with you guys =)

Starting first with yesterday's daily drawing #1 - I'm trying to have around 2 hours for these, I didn't want to look at any references but the creature here looked very weird so I looked at some velociraptor and T-rex pictures. Also this is my first time drawing any creature of any kind, very proud of this.

This is what I'm currently working on, I'm making some character concept art for this and some more for the wisp/glowly creature thing. What do you think of the colors here?

Daily drawing #3, I'm finding it really hard to make time for art during the weekdays after I go back home from my job, so far I haven't drawn anything, hopefully I'll manage to make a habit out of it soon!

Daily drawing #4,, this started out with a pinkish hue but i tried to change it up a bit from what I am used to and comfortable with. This one's a bit more colorful and darker than what I normally do. I'm trying to focus now on that cinematic feel and overlay of colors.

Its been a while! So I've been working on a South Asian inspired character and I'm exploring some outfits right here.

Final Character design for Hasina! My fav. part of the end of a character design is adding in the little VFX and lighting stuff. I might get back to the arrows and make weapon vfx sketches for her.

Sooooo I just started my Art School classes, and here are some assignments for the first 2 classes. There are a lot of things that I knew beforehand but I went ahead and did the work anyways to consistently get my self committed to this course. Starting Nude figure drawing next!
