Good practice!
The joints of the upper leg should start on the same "side" of the pelvis box. Look at the skeleton you drew. Same thing for the joints of the arms attached to your ribcage box
Hope this helps?

A few Torso/Head construction studies. Not sure if I like using a full box for the pelvis, might look at some other forms closer to that of the pelvis bone.

Todays gesture drawing and felt the difference when you devote 1 hour to do warm ups before hand. The blueprint bit is my way of thinking about gesture drawing in the grand scheme of things. How they should clearly portray the idea/movement of a pose and be able to lead into the construction phase.

Result of the class mode in the gesture drawing app, and learning to relax when I'm drawing is really helping.

Working on the placement and spacing of the pelvis and ribcage boxes. A few Proko ones also.

Todays practice was focused on finding Lines of Action and the spine.

Images are from Grafit Studio.

Today consisted of working on the Cylinders, Construction, and 1p Perspective.
I've also been focusing on breaking the mindset barrier between Practicing and Sketching which has benefit me greatly.

What's the barrier between practicing and sketching? That sounds interesting!

It's that thought process of saying you are going to practice said (Subject), which in return makes you care about how the practice turns out more so than doing the practice (Mileage Wise). So you might do some pleasing studies to look at but you only did a very small amount.

Opposed to the sketching process where you just enjoy drawing and problem solving what ever comes to your mind. So when you break that barrier you are taking what you learn and making that a part of your sketching process. Which in return makes you do more relaxed studies so you can see what you really know/retained.

Hopefully this makes sense. Having a hard time putting it into words

That actually makes a lot of sense and I definitely have an issue with that. I just realized a majority of my sketchbook is made of photo studies. I'll have to look more into this concept. Thanks for the explanation!

Been working on the Loomis Method for the past few days, each one is a day after the other.

Ok... it's been a while, but I'm back and I've brought my most recent study with me. Now to try to update more often for this year.
