Originally started as a study of this image by GUWEIZ, but I got carried away and drew my own little character. Ended up looking a little like Vryde from 7thGarden...

A bunch of studies, going to try and do this sort of study everyday now. It's become painfully obvious that i'm progressing really slowly.
I forgot how fun it actually is to study anatomy and poses, once I get into it I draw for hours! I find studying other artists works can sometimes be less taxing on my brain for some reason. Maybe because I get to look at so much great art...

mistakes everywhere

I tried a more graphic approach here, using the poly lasso to lay in colours. Unfortunately I don't think the image reads well and the shape design is clunky.
Hopefully I get better with practice...
