@chriswhatelse Hey! for SCULPTING, I definitely recommend Zbrush. It is very natural, and works beautifully. I've heard that sculpting is doable and somewhat decent in blender; which is a free program that you can try out before going for Zbrush.
You'll have to learn the basics of modelling afterwards too; in which case, you'll have to use Maya/3Ds max for the basics of modelling (UVs, retopologizing, vertex control, rigging). This can also be used on blender, although it is not widely used in the industry.
Here is a personal project that I have been working on. Sculpting, texturing and UVing done in Zbrush. Render done in Keyshot. It is still WIP.
Thanks to @jenniferbrincho and @big-misch!
@Beliroz Forgot the scar!
Here is a model that I worked on yesterday!
I ended up changing the colour a bit, as a classmate commented that the light blue seemed a bit too friendly for the expression and shapelanguage shown.
holy smokes! you have been busy ^^ i like that you working on both 3D and 2D! its a bit hard to get a feel overview of your thread tho, maybe its worth a shot to put some of your best finished works in your Top post for easy viewing?
for some 3D sculpting feedback i think you should try to work more with hard edges and clear well worked shapes. try to not use Damien standard brush without shaping and smoothing the surface after for a good and natural transition. try to use more of trim dynamic and H polish, even on Organic Models
keep up the good work ^^ hope to see more 3D from you
Thanks @Firathion!
And thank you, @skylarc88! Really appreciate the 3D tips and feedback, this means quite a lot!!
