Greetings ! i'm new here
I'm a 24 yo Junior freelance artist from France, and I'd like to get in touch with more artists to share, discuss and hopefuly improve my art
I'll be sharing some works, old and recent, possibly some WIPs too, to get feedback and critique as much as posible.

I've been working on the rework of an old character design (done for the CDC on facebook) from about two years ago.
It's basically a space pirate cyborg shark, at this point i'm working on getting the design clean, before working on values / colors.
Probably going to have to design one or two weapons for him too.

Yeah I'm glad I found these forums, exchanging with artists and sharing art is something I feel I lack currently so I hope I can remedy that here

Also update on the shark captain.
I'm thinking of keeping this as a line sketch, and when I'll be done with the full design on that one I'll start the final concept with a pose that better describes the character's temper and backstory.

Here's an update on that character, I'll have to do some weapon design for him and I was thinking about creating a nice space compass for him too !

Weapon design update

trying to mix a lot of different stuff together, while keeping it somehow consistent, main key words are :
Pirate sword
Revolver/shotgun
chunky, agressive
gunblade

12 seems to be the best so far

When you first posted the shark dude up I was floored like and I found myself saying "This dude just started this artblog and boy has he started strong af!" Its awesome and inspiring and your process visually looks very indepth and takes into consideration the feel of the character - which I try to emulate in my own work.

The weapon design is very, very sound with the universe and style of the Shark dude character. As for the Space-Compass, perhaps incorporating some Astrolabe designs can lend more to the nautical theme?

Thanks alot ! I'm trying to get more personal works into my portfolio, and to develop myself a bit more regarding character design so I appreciate your feedback a lot !
Also thanks for the astrolabe suggestion, that's an instrument that I didn't think of while searching references, maybe I'll try and add of it to the compass.

I've been trying to give him a more lively pose for the final concept drawing

As part of Anton Zemskov's Fanart brawl for Hearthstone, here's what I'm currently working on.
The objective is to create an illustration for a Hearthstone card of our choice.

The prompt is : Member of Mecha Jaraxxus' crew
I chose Mannoroth

Nice! I personnally like thumbnails 1 and 2 about the same. I think either could be cool.

Also nice work on the shark space pirate. It would definitely be interesting to see more character from that world

Update on the painting
