So I graduated from university 9 months ago, now I'm doing this to try to develop the skills I never acquired at school. I'll try to post my whole journey.
Term #1 Figure Drawing assignments. Not sure how long you're supposed to do this but I'm just going to do the half hour of gesture drawing and the measured figure study every day.

PERSPECTIVE TERM 1 So I decided to be a bit more comprehensive with form building and practised some 2 point from scott robertson's how to draw. I then also did a 1 point perspective painting of a street from mapcrunch.

todays figure drawing efforts
2 POINT PERSPECTIVE TERM 1 ASSIGNMENT FREEHAND SKETCH. Some houses on a street. For this I just estimated the second vanishing point. I decided to just roughly sketch it out because the assignment is more about using 2 point than it is about rendering things out. Anyway, plotted one of the VP so I could shoot a Auxilery VP up and get the angles of the roofing.

Term 1 Photoshop for digital production assignment. well the liquify tool baffled me for ages, Ill have to try that one again at some point, after hours of tooling around I think Ive got it though.
Term 1 Image adjustment assignment. really struggled on the last one because I didnt know how to use all of the colour tools. After a couple hours of messing around Ive figured out somewhat how they work. Just noticed I missed out the last row of colour disks, dont worry this was accidental, Im not colour blind! haha!
Term 1 Ive got a tablet with a screen so its much like normal drawing but I thought I would complete it anyway
TERM 1 PHOTOSHOP FOR DIGITAL PRODUCTION ASSIGNMENTOkay, so this is my current WIP for term 1, I decided to take out the skyline for now because its just not working at the moment, I think I need to reduce the building detail and play with values, maybe throw a gradient on them so it goes a bit darker at the sky but maintains atmospheric perspective against the horizon line? I dunno, suggestions welcome. Think it works okay without the skyline though, I just didnt know what to do and saw everyone else had creative ideas with lots of different elements Uploading...
TERM 1 Production Art AssignmentTried to take it in a different direction after having a burst of inspiration. Ill upload it twice because I did the contrast different for my monitor than I did for my tablet, I dunno which one I should be using mostly really as it looks fine on my phone :s
Term 2 Perspective assignment WIPImposing upshot of a wall. decided to do a scifi thing, its quite influenced by the silver surfer cartoon series and also maybe syd mead a little.
