@natallia I paint, look at photo or at real life if I need, and then paint again, to put it simply. There isn't anything except painting in picture itself in other words. And also 99% of the time I paint on normal layers. So yeah it doesn't really require any special knowledge or software. You just grab a brush, pick a color and paint
Knowing PS is helpful, but it won't magically make paintings better.

Still working on portrait sketches. Will keep doing these for a little while I guess.
You've improved a lot since your last post. Those studies seem to have helped. Nothing much to add. Adding a stronger rim light to have it stand out more is the only thing I think you can do. The blue rim doesn't make it pop off the background as much. It looks nice nonetheless. Nice colors and clean render all around.
