To reassure you. I have seen many many post of this assignment on the discord and the forum. And I believe I have never saw anyone getting the perfect replica for the last one. I don't know why, but your struggle is shared by almost every other students. (I have personally stopped on a good enough result before loosing my mind)
The main goal of this assignment in my opinion is to learn that theses tools exist in the first place. They are powerful adjust tools and can be really helpful. But mastering them need a lot of practical usage that will come with time.
