Here are some Character Heads I drew this week

Started my 3-Point perspective project; Came up with a rough sketch of a cameraman looking down a red carpet event from atop another building. Thoughts?

Here's my completed 3-point perspective! I liked playing around with the colors and shadows, though I do admit the more shadowy areas are a tad too saturated; there's definitely room for improvement. What do you all think?

Here are some 5m gestures. I'm headed to the UK for the next two weeks, so I'll bring my sketchpad to practice and doodle w/ perspectives, heads, ect.

Well done, these are looking good. One thing I'd say though, is your lines are quite wobbly, which suggests your moving the pen quite slowly/ lacking confidence. When it comes to gestures, it's more about angles, shapes and flow, rather than trying to draw what you see if you get what I mean. Try drawing with your whole arm to draw longer lines rather than "sketching it out."

Alright, so I tried implementing the whole movement of my arm into my gestures with mixed results. Is there any practical way I can improve or is this more of an intuition thing?

Here's a portrait study! I'm pleased with how it turned out, though some of the proportions and color blending could use some work. Any thoughts?

And here's my 4pnt. perspective sketch! I plan to do some cleanup tomorrow, but so far so good! And Critiques or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!

-And here's the completed lineart! I adjusted the shoulder width, though I probably could've spent more time on the finer details & proportions like the thighs, they came out a bit too thicc.

So for this week, I've been doing some 'How to Dragon your Train' pieces. This is my first time doing something colored in a while. (You can tell my skills are a bit crusty) But honestly? This challenge was a really nice change of pace! I may do some more in the meantime, these are honestly kinda fun to do!

Here's some more gesture practice; I'm switching it up and trying to focus more on overall shapes and lines and I think it's making a HUGE difference!

I tried a quick go at drawing a gryphon from imagination, needless to say, the results leave a lot to be desired. Wonky proportions, stiff pose, etc. Interesting exercise, though I gotta admit, my animal anatomy could use some work.

Did a rough self-portrait. I'll admit, I'm not too skilled when it comes to shading when it comes using pencil (It doesn't help that mine had some weird red goo stuck to the tip) Not to mention the eyes look a little uncanny. It was a nice exercise at least. Any advice and/or critiques are welcome as always

You can try using knife to sharpen pencil to make the drawing part longer and shade with side (it doesn't work for me as I always break it) or just fully sharpened pencil also sideways. Make strokes close to each other, you can blend it later with tissues (your hands won't get messy and it will be smoother). you can make construction lines lighter so it is easier to erase/cover.

Today I started my Daily Clothed Figure Drawing Assignment 1 and one of the three environment drawings. I'll admit, I think some of the anatomy and lighting on my clothed figure leaves a lot to be desired, though I did like playing with color on the env. copy. What do you think?
