Hello all! My name's Andy and I'm currently a part-time college student! I'm here to better my art skills to accompany the stories I want to tell. I'm currently in the middle of Term 2, as I was a bit reluctant to use the forums at first, but gradually warmed up to the idea. Anyway, here's a couple of the assignments I've worked on, any and all feedback is welcome and I look forward to engaging in our art journeys together! (btw, does the use of nude references count as NSFW? The guidelines weren't clear on that, so I had them censored just in case)

as long as the ref was used was for study purposes your fine and there is no need to censor it great stuff so far keep up the good work!

Some more practice sketch work today. I experimented with the perspective of the rectangular Marquees to make a cube and I think it turned out pretty well! Also practiced some more tracing, including an Espurr and Neil the Box Tank, because I find trains fun to draw!

Nice work so far, keep it up! I really like that pokemon from the previous post as well. I struggle a lot with circles but something I keep hearing from Marc and others is to draw from your shoulder for circles, ellipsis etc. and that seems to help quite a bit for me. You might be doing this already!

More shape, trace, and shading practice as well as a simple eye study and gradient practice today. Despite the photoshop selection tools giving me issues, I'm quite pleased with how the gradient turned out! Definitely needs more work though, definitely have to get more familiar with the selection tools for better optimization.

More Practice. Tried drawing a pose based on the proportions of the ref, didn't really work out. I'm glad how the head turned out!

Hi there ... ur doing good work so far ... only thing I noticed is that ur lines have the same thickness ... try to play more with the pressure while drawing and ur studies start looking more lively ... thinner lines on the parts that are hit by light and thicker ones on shadow parts and where things intersect

And here it is! My first completed prospective project with basic shading! Not perfect by any means, (The rear wheel is a bit wonky) but still very proud of how it turned out! Also saved some progress pics.
