Hi everyone,
Alright, this one's a big edit. One of the most valuable art lessons I've learned over the years is not to be afraid to start over. You know the feeling, an image or an idea might feel off to the point where you've lost all connection to it and you're honestly ready to move on. Well, that happened with my initial idea, and I can't justify spending any more time on it in its current state. Good thing I hadn't spent a ridiculous amount of time on it, but lost time is still lost time. So, I have some doubts about finishing my new idea in time for the deadline, but it doesn't really make a difference. I'll give it a go, and if I fail, I'll at least try to have a new portfolio piece on my hands =)
My new character is a male knight called Anselm the Adamant (sticking with fantasy, naturally). I'm not one to conjure up a lot of backstories to my characters, but consider him pretty much a run-of-the-mill knight who bash in evil heads with his big ball-on-a-chain. Maybe I'll expand on it in the future.
