Never thought that i'd be joining the Science Fiction side for this composition, and yet here I am !

For my Champion I've been designing a lot of loose characters but ultimately aim to create a massive arena/king of the hill illustration with a focus on a Mech type of champion. Definitely envisioning an alternate universe where organic alien beings are battling it out.

Here's a look at my first few character sheets:

I'll probably choose from these guys and go onto the official character Concept sheets later this week.

Ha really cool stuff, i really like the video and thumbnails.
The speed is fine because youtube you can slow it down if anyone needs to, i'd just add a free to use music track from the editing section on the video on youtube.

Looking forward to more.

Here's Part two !
The start of my second sheet of characters. This is where I've started thinking about my C-TON Idea.

C-TON = Combatant - trained over network , (Aka) a controllable fighter in this digital virtual reality that I'll attempt to create.

I used to watch SwordArtOnline as well as GunGaleOnline, so I'll be referencing that type of story/set up as I advance forward with these designs.

Wow youre so good! The idea of C-TON really got my attention! Thats a really unqiue idea The colors of the characters are beautiful too! Silhouette are amazing, for now I dont have any concerns, just keep it up man! I love your process as well and the videos! Although, maybe put some images here in the forums too cuz not everyone has the time to click and watch and skip the video you posted here, but still awesome work!

Definitely will do, I hope to get to doing the full turn around sheets for a few of these guys, so I'll keep you guys posted. And thank you so much, so glad your liking the idea

Here's the last page of characters; really pushing the futuristic fighter idea with these guys.
I'm thinking of ways to illustrate a few compositions that include a bunch of these guys while also directing the focus on a single champion. I''ll post the character thumbnails I hope to put in my final illustration soon !

Amazing video process, I never thought of using video to show WIP here. You got some really interesting characters there. Learnt quite a bit of drawing technique from your video as well really awesome

Cubebrush has an amazing forum, I like the old one a lot, but this is definitely epic. Not sure how linking youtube video's worked in the old one but its really nice here.

But I do hope to really push this idea, I still got to do some environment design and I can't wait because thats my comfort zone. My character design process is so new to me that i think i'm releasing a bunch of built of ideas that i've had but could never really execute.

Here's One character sheet, I'm going for a virtual reality setting. Imagine the green energy as the coding that creates some of the creatures, but also generates most of the weapons and stuff.

Great idea to record your sketches and thoughts. Additional to your video it would be great to see some images with all your characters. So you can show the whole bunch of concepts you did and you did a lot of them (and of course it’s easier to give you tips maybe)

I'm thinking of picking maybe 4 more characters from my original character sheets, and pushing them further design wise.

Here's one that I picked to incorporate into my final illustration.

I guess I should start making some background stories and names for these guys though

Just going to be finish this last character page and I'll get to weapons, i got this really epic concept in my head for some energy/plasma based weapons that I'm excited to get to !

Time to get onto working on some weapons !! Finally got a grasp of each character I want in my illustration.

This guys my champion, meet C-ton a human operating system that runs off of an epic plasma energy that is specifically used to destroy, remove and rip through stuff.

Here's my final character selection: I've already got this idea of a battle for "The Light" in this case, the plasma energy that seems to power each creation of this universe I've cooked up in my head. I hope to push some of my thumbnails this week and get to my final piece pretty soon.
