I think im starting this contest a little late, but what the heck, I thought I'd give it a go. if I don't finish in time, I will have still had a good time creating something from scratch.

I already have a fairly clear picture in my head of what I want to do, but I thought I would sketch a few different things just to see if I could come up with a better idea.

I worked out roughly what I want the main character to look like and the colours im going to use, and I have roughly drawn the upper body in the pose im going to use. not going to think about the background for the moment and dive into the painting.

Started adding colour to the face and torso. Going to start working on the rest of the body next.

I got the face to a point where i am mostly happy with it, but the more detail i added to the body, the more it looked like i was drawing a naked person, so i added some clothing.

Been making a lot of changes the last few days and i thought i would post my progress.

Finally finished all of the body, and have started to add details. With any luck it will be finished by the end of the week.

Finally finished the picture. I'm happy with the way it turned out but, I would have liked to have spent more time on the background.
