updates! last 2 nights work, polished a bit of the body and his face, dark crystals will be added later once the anatomy seems fine, added minor detalis

polished the scenography and a bit more of the beast, now time to finish the demon, the guy and put those crystals in.
plus i wanted to explain my composition idea:
for this piece i decided to go with a duplice route: the line way and the color area way.
basically the big saturated olive green is there to drag attention on its main outlined silhouette -> the demon while if you choose the line route every pillar, shadow arm or other drag to a detail point that forks into additional lines that lead to the corner where stays the human, from there a triangle should cage viewer's attention in a loop between the two main characters staring at each other focusing on the emotional reaction of the intimidated human.
the foreground cage stuff/chariot is there to break lines , reinforce the direction to the demon a bit and filling some space, the comp was working slightly better without it but i felt the street was too empty as i wanted a more chaotic feel

Updates, fixes, tweaks ,still building the beast's anatomy, kinda redid the face and atm struggling with wich mouth to keep, till i figure it out time to finish the wings, hand and sword
it's taking foreverrrrrrr and then... the crystals... (plus after that there be an infinite phase of adjustments)

UPDATES! finally finished beast's anatomy time to put some crystals on it Walter White spice zero0 "DarkMEth"
still small pieces could be tweaked (that leg's extra muscle is bothering me) but will be done after this step
also not sure if this steampunk metal gauntlet has to stay or to leave... an other version could have a more ornated and worn armorpiece rather than the shiny interlocking mechanisms

here's a comparison between the new direction i'm taking plus some explanation about my colour choices
i felt having mainly the sky of a flat green was wrong for two reasons: 1st it has got an intense amount of chroma and there's nothing to look into it per se (except the demon's silhouette but that is visible also via value check)
and second it was creating a sort of plane behind the demon that was not connected to the physical space of the location expecially below.
to fix that i'm trying to connect the pink/red haze on the ground behind the building more consistently throught a more wide air space and to shift the green to a more yellowish tone moving that area closer to the other colours leading (hopefully) to a more harmonized feel.
the lime green will remain as an accent colour maybe
plus sulfur yellows contribute to the suffocating feel i wanted around the demon.
now time to get crazy with adjustments and vfx

- yup i think it's shrunk, i'm wondering whether we should upload a 2k size just for the contest?

As for the comp, I'm stuck between "Regular" ( nicely draws the viewer in ) and
"Narrow Tilt Left" ( I like this a lot as it follows the demon's pose. Plus it kinda fits well for a book cover! )
