I'm making multiple character concepts but I will only be bringing one to final. Right now i'm still exploring and getting feedback before committing to one character to push and then do an illustration. Also in the illustration you can have multiple characters(which will be side characters) but they can't overshadow the main one you made. Side characters can be anything as well.
When you say finished, which ones are you talking about? You can say the number or post the image in your reply.
And yes there are a lot of people in 2D.

I like the look you have going for the male characters! The top right and bottom middle are my favorites.
I think you could try experimenting with female characters based off of their designs. The top right would work well with a female character given that its really rare for people to make bald females. It would help a lot to make them stand out.

I like the look of the female character you have so far. You could give her a yellow or an orange jacket. Something about the Blue and green together is a little... Hmm. I can't put my finger on it, but a complementary color scheme might work better?

The martial arts hiphop kinda looks like Genos from One Punch Man! haha I love the design of yeah the hiphop, it's simple, s=has some busy parts and some resting places for the eyes. Try to combine that with the bottom middle's head and leg part I would love to see that! Great designing skills man!

@skullguzma Thanks for the feedback. I'll probably use the female character with the green jacket for something else. Going to take 3 of of my characters to go a little further.
@Kreyhardt I didn't realize that into my brother pointed it out. I was just having fun and thinking of what would be cool so that just came out. By the way are you talking about the mech?

So here is an wip to my character(can I even say this)
Lines first

Here is a color blockout. Just needed a quick base. (colors not final so c&c welcomed)

So I went with a hip hop themed cyborg from NY(where i'm from) My friends called him Afro Genji even though he doesn't have a sword or other ninja elements but I thought it was funny. I told myself I want to do a black character. Making a male is a risk though. I have a feeling a female character will/can be the winner. Female character or a badass mech anyway. When you see work from @mdaven_art or @qfang and many others, I don't know how this stacks up. The struggle is real. I have lots of time before the deadline. Feedback always welcomed. Quick side note, I don't hate this, I actually like it.

In my opinion the knee pad takes away from the hip hop theme you were going for.

I would suggest maybe some graffiti style designs on his pant legs.

I like the color scheme you chose, but the top of the torso being as bright as it is distracts from the face a bit.

I'm liking this so far.

Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking the same thing. I'll change that.
Update: applied the feedback. I forgot to put shadow and rim on separate layers. Oh well, I can do them later.

Such a unique character design, I really love the simple outfit of him, combining modern clothing with some sci fi mechanical arms that glows, thats awesome ! Keep it up man! Love that character so much!

So I believe this is the design I will be going with after taking some time to think about it. Going to start the render step while still designing things as I see fit.

I need help with colors.

That's the biggest problem at the moment. Not sure what to go with. Might go for a orange, blue and black color scheme. I still want the first thing people look at to be the face. I'll figure it out I guess.
Also here's a composition sketch. Probably won't go with this as I want to try some other ideas I have in mind.

Sorry for lack of updates. Will try to post something everyday now as I have something I believe I can settle on.

Never saw the first 2 which by the way have awesome art. I actually follow the last artist and was really inspired by his Overwatch piece early on. Wanted to do something similar seeing as I have a lot to work with now which all the characters I've drawn. Everything is still up in the air. Thanks for sharing. Going to work on some more sketches today.

Of the three poses, the third one seems to be the best, though it seems that he has lost one of his shoes...
You have a great many character concepts here, all of which could make cool illustrations. It will be interesting to see which one you will ultimately choose.

I actually just didn't draw the other shoe in yet. Was tired and just posted it as it was. Yeah I may have a lot of characters but I keep second guessing myself. It's hard to choose something.

Today's progress. Thinking of having this at Night but not sure.

This angel is actually really really REALLY hard for me. I'm struggling a lot.
