Hey,

Really excited to take part in such an inspiring contest, and good luck to everyone involved. So far I'm torn between which art style to aim for. Looking at everyone's submissions so far there have been some incredible pieces of artwork with very detailed and anatomically accurate characters and very little cartoon-like characters. So the first hurdle I must overcome is whether to go realistic or cartoon-like...guess ill try both.

My champion Fraust is going to be a Dragon Rider from a Northern Tundra with two main pieces of equipment. A massive Clamp which is used to clamp around a dragons neck and acts as a way to "steer" her giant steeds. The second of which is a large Lance which Fraust uses as her primary weapon when claiming dragons and fighting her foes. Fraust has no magic or abilities besides her incredible fighting and riding skills however wherever she rides a blizzard is sure to follow.

Quick simple concept of the dragon clamp. In further iterations I plan to have frost covering the metal of the clamp and icicles hanging from the lower edge of the clamp where it would be hanging around the dragons neck. The handles when closed would be used to hold onto and steer the dragon.

Some different hairstyle ideas, leaning towards top right and bottom left but will probably still sketch a couple more.

Top right on the hair is my favorite of the bunch. It'll be interesting to see where this concept is going.

I like the lower left set, definitely sends home the warrior theme. It's elegant, but still practical enough to hold her own in combat.

Tried expanding on the lower left sketch and beginning to design some more of the costume. Never designed something using only one colour before (which isn't necessary but I've found myself doing) but its strangely fun to work on.

The third in the bottom seems really strong looking for me, I prefer that I'll be waiting for the body armor concept update! Keep it up!

Might be back to the drawing board with this one... after having a short break over the festive seasons and looking back at this I'm not really sure where it was going anymore. Time for a re-haul!
