Hi everybody! I'm from Russia, Nijniy Novgorod, my name is Pauline Makarova & it is great to be here with lots of famous guys who make such amazing art (wooohooo!)
I'm going to take a part in ART WAR and this is my champion, Ignis Libr. I've chosen a the science-fiction world theme (computers will catch this world, you know :D) I'm really into the Internet, future technologies and it is soo exchiting for me to create a hero from the universe, where the technologies are the main part of life)
And now I want to show you some of my developments and my progress at the moment. Hope that you will enjoy it ^-^

Is she some sort of pirate ? I mean with the Eye patch on her face

@justartress -
I'm not really getting alchemist from any of these designs yet. Definitely keep thumbnailing through and try to push the concept into the character more.

I like the look of the character so far - sort of a scifi-windwaker-link, but it needs something more in the costume to really take it to the next level.
Do you have a website with more of your art? I'd like to see your rendering / coloring style. (although I suppose i can just wait until you get to that point with this piece!)

Also be careful of how symmetrical some of your designs are coming along, It adds a lot of interest if you can break up that symmetry!

Sorry by the look of the very first stick figure, I was thinking "he" was a girl haha (you know kind of breast part ^^')

@joshculpart gave you some good advices
And if he's an alchemist...maybe add some sort of (sci-fi) potions or a table with some concoctions or something like that ? You should also (if you have the time for sure !) thought about what these potions are doing to make it some sort of "real" for the viewers.

So, this is the end of my work for this competition. I'm happy because I finished at the right time, but the most joy for me is the possibility to connect with very cool artists who help me & give a great stimulation to work harder and to learn a lot)
