Hi everyone!
First of all, thanks to Cubebrush for creating Art War, this is a really amazing and inspiring event! Seeing everyone’s great submissions convinced me to join the battle with my humble contribution! I’m a little late, I know, but I hope you will enjoy your time on my topic anyway!
As a huge sci fi nerd, this theme was my choice right from the beginning. I started with some traditional sketches to warm up, and to figure out what kind of sci-fi I wanted to create. Here are some of those sketches :
I then switch to digital! I transposed 2 of my traditional sketches, and did 6 more sketches. Feel free to let me know about which one you like (or dislike) !
At that point, the cyborg lady with the umbrellas is my favourite design, so I decided to go further with this one ! I like the combination of multiple geometrical forms and more common features like umbrellas. Also, the fact that behind her noble dress and fragile look, she could be some kind of assassin.
I imagined her as a leader, a mysterious figure of power in a world ruled and occupied only by IAs. She represents the legacy of the past mankind, by being perhaps the last human being living (she’s mostly augmented by technology though, it wouldn’t be funny if not, huh). She carries with her the archives and secrets of humankind, so I named her Lady Archivista.
Hopefully, this little background will be a guideline for the final design!
I first want to change her face a bit, and her weapon too. I think I will also modify the design of her dress, so she can remove it to change into a agile assassin !
