Team: Fantasy
Character Name: Lysanthir
Race: Elf
Class: Mage
Background:
Lysanthir was born and raised in a small elven village, built in the trees. The people of his village were simplistic but resourceful folk. They relied on their surroundings and had little to no interest in magic. What little they knew of magic, was from books telling of legendary mages who could bend the fabric of reality. Stories such as these were common in the village and had a significant impact on Lysanthir while he was growing up. He dreamed of mastering the magical arts and becoming a powerful mage.
One day Lysanthir encountered a traveling merchant, who had stopped to do business with the village. The merchant was an elderly human, who had an eccentric personality. He had many different trinkets that fascinated the people of the village. He also had many books, scrolls, and enchanted items. Lysanthir had 2 silver coins that he had saved over the past week and bought a book that had caught his eye. The book had odd markings decorating the cover and for some reason it did not have a title. Lysanthir brought the book home and began flipping through the pages. He landed on a page with a strange phrase written on it.
The phrase read "Clax ve ekess wer thaczil di arcaniss." Lysanthir read the phrase aloud and was surprised to find himself glowing. He disappeared and reappeared in a library. He was confused and had no idea where he was, so he left the library and found himself standing in a lavishly decorated castle. He explored the grounds of the castle and could not find a single person dwelling there. He decided to leave, so he could find a way back to his village and began walking away from the castle. He got about half a mile away from the castle before reappearing in the castle library. He tried this several more times from different directions and had the same result.
Realising he was stuck, Lysanthir looked to the library for knowledge of his predicament. He searched for 10 years to find a way home and had managed to learn magic in the process. He now had a wealth of knowledge about magic and the world. He eventually found a way home by using the teleportation magic he learned from the books in the library. Lysanthir was able to go back to the castle anytime he wanted and eventually made it his home. He now does quests as a powerful mage, just like he dreamed about as a child.
