So this is the current progress, I still want that green bright nature background so here it is. So there's enemies on his left and in the background as well so yeah Tell me what you think!

Here's another version though, the silhouette of the character will be much visible, but dont worry, I'll find another spot for these lil shadows hahaha

The color is shifted just so I can see if it looks awesome and good at the same way, what do you guys think? haha

The complimentary colours are nice, but which mode is Nano going to be in this picture? Instead of purple foliage i'd suggest that you add the purple in the character to bring him out more (or actually reverse it so he has orange lights in a low saturated purple sky since warms tend to jump forward in pictures). Keep it up Kreyhardt!

I like this pose a lot, but I'm wondering if the dodging the bullet would read better if his back was just slightly more arched backward? His left shoulder is turned back to dodge the bullet and reach for the sword, right? A slightly less perfectly balanced torso might give it that sudden arch back to avoid bullet look. I don't think you'd want to go a lot, just slight out at the hip and arch of the lower back? Just a thought.

The pose is a little awkward, there is some twisting about the torso that looks very uncomfortable.

I like the progress so far ... but i feel a stronger pose needs to be defined .. once you nail it, the possibilities are endless for scene construction.

These will certainly help you define something concrete and further create a scene that will compliment your character .. making him more iconic.

So guys this is my current update, I tried to dive in to the details, but I figured, I dont like the pose....AGAIN hahahhaha, crap, I hate being stuck, but we all learn from our mistakes right? hjaha

Here's a little update on what I'm up to, it's very rough but I'm trying perfect the pose. Tips and advices would help a lot

This is really insteresting!
I like the movement a lot .. especially his legs ... ( like a motion blur effect )

You will now have to craft a kickass scene that will push this character even further. But also make sure he doesn't get lost in it.
By the way ... where's his hair?

All in all ..... LOT OF POTENTIAL HERE!

Really bold pose, I like it! Looks like the sword arm is working much better this time. Maybe take a look at the twist on his left (our right) leg, it looks like its pointing off to the side at the moment, where I think it would face a bit more out of the picture plane. The perspective on the gun arm is gonna be tricky too, looking a bit small atm. Keep it up, this is really coming on : )

My friend this pose works really well. I would stick to that if I were you! ^^ Now if you manage to render it nice and clean, the background doesn't even have to be too complicated (maybe just some one-point perspective kind of dark environment.? I rally dig the dark mood the values you have so far are providing. Excited to see more progress!

Your doing really great, the latest pose is indeed the best yet.
One thing thought, and this is completely just me rambling about. It looks like he is both drawing his sword and firing the gun at the same time. You should try how it would look if he already has the sword drawn, or the pistol is the one being drawn from a holster.

Nice progress Kreyhardt! it's been a while since I commented. That new pose really brings out the action! great stuff.

I'd suggest that you make the shouldered of his right arm follow the motion in the arm more. So in this pose you would only see a little bit of the side of the shoulderpad and mainly the bottom.

Here's another option, a portrait version of him. I see you guys liked the last pose so much, but let me first have your opinions. Should I go with this portrait or the last pose? I just wanted to stick with the more simpler one which is the portrait, but I still think the spiderman pose would be great for you guys and for me to expand more. Let me know I really wanna know

@albek Thanks man! yeah I do think it works in some way, but for the leg, im still tweaking it, maybe adding a bit of lighting would make it look clearer and not point on the side too much. I will update that gun part Thanks man!

A portrait version would be cool but for the contest you have to show at least 80% of your character, sorry man
