I really like the concept of using herbs as a weapon. Has he inoculated himself from the effects or does he use some sort of breathing apparatus?

@kernelpanic he has a couple of respirators with activated coal. The nasal one for fumes and the glass one for smoke. The glass respirator also protects his eyes. Also there's collar flap that he can soak in carbonated oil to breath through as the last resort.
