So, this is my first participate in such huge challenge and I'll try to be in time.
I chose a fantasy setting and I invented cople stories for my characters. I tried to make them deeper and more interesting for you.
1. The first character was a lumberjack. One day, he wandered far into the thicket. He was looking for the perfect tree for sale shipbuilders. And when he found such, he cut it down. The spirit of the forest, who lived in the tree, cursed woodcutter. Spirit blinded the fool as punishment and placed the seed of the tree in human. When the woodcutter dies, his grave will be reborn tree.
2. The second character, which I thought was an archer renegade. Behind him chasing a lot of days. To get away from the chase sheriff, he disappeared into the woods. He was hungry and exhausted when he wandered into the ancient sanctuary. On a high rock he saw a crow. He took a bow and killed the bird in the hope to eat. He didn't have time. The arrow went renegade in the back. Then another. And another one. Archer died from arrows, like a raven. It is not clear how, but the death of their combined body and soul together and gave a second life.
I like second story more. Now I make some sketches for this characters...
