If you can balance out the details in the coloring stage, it'll be ok to have all detail you have. Thinking about a character like kerrigan from starcraft 2 who has a lot of detail, but holds up well due to color breakup.
So if you can achieve that you'll be good to go.
Anyway this is looking better and better every update. Keep up the good work.

whoa looking nice! the head design under the helm looks great as well. The weapon heads that you chose out are great and just a little input, I think the blunt design is the better choice. The blade head is very cool but the other has a more unique design and fits the character a bit more - co-ordinates the overall look a little more

Hey guys! So I've locked down the head. I took a stab at some patterning on her skin, though I think I may want to do a few more iterations.

Regardless, I think most of the heavy lifting on design is done so I'll be jumping into color this week!

@malcom, definitely agree on the coloring. What I'm hoping to do is put in some big chunks of color that'll look good on first read, and then sprinkle on some details that'll be picked up on the second read. Thanks for your support!

@mikedalzell, thanks man! And yeah, I definitely agree there. I feel the T-shaped head is already more iconic and has a great read.

Hey all! It's been a bit, but I'm back with in update, now in GLORIOUS COLOR!

First up, a bunch of color comps. After consulting with a few people (and my gut), I settled with C.

I feel really good about the color scheme overall. I'm not sold on the markings on her armor yet as well as a few other details here and there, so I'll be iterating a bit more on that, but I think I have my character!

Now for the hard part: poses and final composition.

Just exploring poses for the most part, trying to figure out what feels good. I'm gonna be doing some more tonight in hopes that I can nail it down sooner rather than later. After all, January's almost over!

I really like "H" too, but yeah "C" is a perfect fit !
For the markers it looks pretty good.
Maybe create a symbol or something on the chest plate and/or shoulder pad ?

Good choice for colors. They look great.

The markings on the armor seems good to me, except for the breastplate.

The blue skin and the blue suit are very similar. I would recommend changing one of them just enough to differentiate between them.

Very nice progress.

Hey all,

Thank you so much for the kind words! I've been in a bit of a rut trying to get the final composition down, but I think I'm finally back on the ball! Here's where I'm at with everything so far.

Latest and greatest of the front and rear views. A bit more detailing and it should be about done.

Did a few more poses here. Got a few good ones finally.

A stab at two comps using two of the above poses. I wanna do at least one or two more of these before I make my final pick.

I'm gonna need a lot of help on this part in particular, so any and all feedback would be a huge help.
