Everything is really solid; composition, moves, colours...
Are the sparkles some sort of confetti or simply sparkles ?
Also curious what is the new thing/person on the right bottom corner ?

I know this is probably chip...but, is her eyes focusing on a new (not visible) foe ?

The sparkles are stars and will read a bit more clearly after I clean that mess up. The new figure at the bottom is supposed to be a new combatant. I'ma try to clear that up between tonight and friday night. And yeah, now that you mention it, she doesn't look focused on her target. I'll also iron that out to night.

Well friends, we have arrived at our final destination. The two images below are my final submissions for the contest.

If not for a flight I have to catch in just a few hours, I would've spent the rest of the weekend noodling on the image until it was just right, but I think everything turned out pretty good in spite of that. I'd basically be chasing that last 10%.

Thank you all for your feedback and encouragement! Thanks to you, I've pushed myself harder than I ever have before. And if nothing else, I'm happy to see that I completed my entry for the art challenge.

But now I'm curious to see how it would have turn if you had time to paint it a bit more

It wouldn't be super different. Mostly just tighter details and being able to adjust a few things here and there.
